Event Structure:
All competitors in a given division are called to the course for a course walkthrough. Competitors are split into heats of 10 within their given division. Competitors are given 10 minutes to warm up and run the course.
After all competitors in a division have competed, a second run can be competed.
How The Event Is Judged:
Judges are placed at the start and end of the course, with a floating judge monitoring penalty zones. Penalty areas should be clearly defined and explained during the course walkthrough. Runs are first judged based on the least number of penalties incurred. After penalties have been considered, finishing place is determined by fastest time.
Points are awarded based on the finishing place of the competitor.
Competitors accumulate points for themselves as well as any team they are affiliated with.

Competitors are split into heats of 4 within their given division.
Heats will run 16 chases each lasting 20 seconds with 30 second reset time.
Athlete order will be randomized. If an evasion is successful, the evader earns a point and remains on the course to be chased by the next tagger. If a tag occurs, no points are awarded. The tagger becomes the evader to be chased by the next tagger.
The top 2 evaders of each heat will move on until there is a final six or final four. Any ties in a heat will result in a sudden death tiebreaker. A successful evasion wins the tiebreaker.

There is no “Season Finals” competition for RMPC. Instead we will host an end-of-season party for all participating families!
The Closing Ceremony focuses on building community and celebrating the season before moving into our summer break. We kick things off with open gym, featuring challenges around the space, followed by an awards presentation honoring our best athletes and top gym.
